COARM (EU Working Party on Conventional Arms Export) ONGs Forum
The EEAS and Saferworld are holding two virtual meetings, both on 10 June, within the EU Working Party on Conventional Arms Export (COARM) and NGOs Forum, which will cover a range of issues relating to recent and ongoing developments relevant to EU arms export controls. The main focus of the first meeting will be the implications of the recently agreed European Peace Facility (EPF) for arms transfers (and what the EU export control regime will mean for the implementation of the EPF). The second meeting will centre on recent and potential future developments with respect to Member States’ post-export controls.
Jordi Calvo, coordinator of Centre Delàs d’Estudis per la Pau and researcher on arms trade, will participate in this meeting to tackle Spanish arms exports cases related to EU arms export controls.
