Press release – Spanish MEPs must take a stand and vote in favour of Motion for a Resolution 2016/2515(RSP) on the humanitarian situation in Yemen

The Centre Delàs has just published the report “Saudi Arabia and the bombings in Yemen: The responsibility of the Spanish State” to analyse the possible participation of Spain in the conflict in Yemen through the sale of arms and the signing of military cooperation agreements with the authorities of Saudi Arabia.

In response to the civil war situation in Yemen and the active participation of Saudi Arabia in it through massive bombings, we call on Spanish MEPs to take a stand and vote in favour of Motion for a Resolution 2016/2515(RSP) on the humanitarian situation in Yemen in plenary on the 25th of February 2016.

A safer world is not built by filling it with guns and ammunition. Let us assume the responsibilities we have to end the barbarism in Yemen.
