The Delàs Center of Studies for Peace and the Armed Bank Campaign (Campaña Banca Armada) offer an update of its Worldwide Armed Banks Database

The Delàs Center of Studies for Peace and the Armed Bank Campaign (Campaña Banca Armada) offer an update of its Worldwide Armed Banks Database that operates and offers financial services in Spain. The international database of Armed Bank, year after year, has been enriched with new contributions, thanks to the support of public or private entities or institutions such as the Barcelona City Council, Grassroots Foundation or the Generalitat Valenciana.

Additionally, is added to this update a new tab designed to be able to search and filter more easily information about pension funds and insurance companies.

For this update we have had data provided from PROFUNDO, a non-profit independent company with a clear mission, contributing through research into a sustainable world and the growth of social justice. PROFUNDO is based in the Dutch city of Amsterdam.

The data provided by PROFUNDO offer us information about the financing of 8 arms companies, 6 of them are part of the TOP100 of SIPRI worldwide arms producing companies in 2017 (except Indra and Maxam / Expal); ASELSAN, Embraer, Fincantieri, Rheinmetall AG, Saab and the Spanish Navantia.

The 8 companies previously mentioned were already part of the World Wide Armed Banks Database but, in the framework of this new update, the most recent data on financing through investments or credit concessions are available.

The new data provided offers information on 35 companies or financial investment entities based in Spain and 647 international investors.

Finally, in the section of creditors, data are added of 12 Spanish entities and 57 from all over the world.

You can browse the Worldwide Armed Banks Database in English, in Spanish andin Catalan.
