IV World Forum Cities and Territories of Peace – Bogotá 2023

On June 27 and 28, the IV World Forum Cities and Territories of Peace will take place in Bogotá, which will once again offer a scenario for dialogue and collaborative work focused on building solutions and institutional and social tools that contribute to building sustained peace in cities, territories and communities.

IIII World Forum of Cities and Territories of Peace – Ciudad de México

In 2017 and 2018, the first and second edition of the World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace was held in Madrid, with the aim of sharing the analysis of the various manifestations of violence in cities and territories, as well as presenting experiences in peacebuilding. The Government of Mexico City assumed the realization of a Third edition. In this case, the Government of Mexico City was accompanied by an International Organizing Committee (IOC) that included representatives of local governments, civil society organizations, international, regional, national, and local organizations. The Cultural Centre Spain in Mexico, member of this Committee of the Third edition of the World Forum on Cities and Territories of Peace, contributes to this broad process of reflection, incidence, and action on the construction of peace in cities and territories, through the following online cultural program that will take place from October 2020 to April 2021.

II World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace – Madrid 2018

The II World Forum was held in Madrid on November 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2018.

I World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace – Madrid 2017

In April 2017, the First World Forum on Urban Violence and Education for Coexistence and Peace was held in Madrid, following an initiative by Manuela Carmena, who at that time was mayor of Madrid.

The Forum brought together actors from all sectors of society: politicians, sociologists, peace researchers and citizens to share experiences and elaborate proposals for problems in order to learn to live together in peace.

The Forum was attended by more than 3,500 people from more than a hundred countries of all continents. It also had the participation of AIPAZ in its organizing committee, in the elaboration of the conceptual document and theoretical framework of the forum, in the final reports of all sessions, and in a participatory diagnosis of the violence in the city of Madrid.
